ABOUT US

Donald Coutts is a Scottish based TV/Film Director with an extensive track record in delivering content that captivates - opening doors and minds to other worlds.

From ground-breaking music youth progammes in the era of punk, which shaped the face of modern TV, to the layered story / character driven documentaries and formats he creates today.

Coutts brings warmth, wit and charm to everything he produces.

Multi-award winning, his work has brought home a few trophies. Amongst others are several BAFTAs, including one for Best Director, and a Peabody.

Scotch! is the home to his creative output, with a defined focus on producing high quality broadcast television from Scotland to the world.

Donald could be described as our tastemaker, but we are nothing without the rest of the team.

Our ideas are cooked up by an ever-fervent development team, dotted around Scotland -thank goodness for Zoom! We shoot globally with a selected pool of freelance talent - who are no longer freelancers, but friends! The production office may be small staffed, but it's stuffed with laughter and imagination.

We are sharp as a thistle, warm as the first sip of your favourite dram, our creativity could fill a loch.

Scotch! ...who else could it be?
